UNE BC-YT and AB-NWT-NU Combined Regional Seminar
You are invited to participate at the UNE BC-YT and AB-NWT-NU Combined Regional Seminar, scheduled to take place at the Westin Calgary Airport from February 5–8, 2026.
This seminar is for participants from the two Western & Northern Canada UNE Regions: British Columbia and Yukon Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut
UNE Regional Seminars offer focused presentations, workshops, and training to equip you with the knowledge and tools to support your members and understand how your union operates. They are also an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow activists and build lasting relationships.
UNE will fund two (2) participants and an additional (1) Young Worker participant per Local:
- The Local President or designate.
- A member who has not previously attended a seminar should be given priority.
- A Young Worker member (age 35 or younger as of December 31, 2026).
Locals should also encourage the participation of members from equity-seeking groups. Locals may also send additional members at the Local’s expense.
Participants will be expected to arrive for onsite registration at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5. Accommodations will be arranged for delegates to spend three nights at the hotel for the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights of the Seminar as some activities are scheduled to take place into the evenings. The Seminar ends on Sunday, February 8, at 12p.m.
Applications must be received by Friday, January 2, 2026. Late applications will unfortunately not be accepted.
